A digital jumpstart was not something that I ever thought of doing prior to this class. Sure, I would provide, for example,  worksheets with the vocabulary and their corresponding definitions, but I would never have thought of basically recording myself making a mini-lesson for the students to review. After doing this, I can see how, especially for ESOL students, how it would be helpful to not only see the material, but also hear it. I can see this being helpful for students who need to review and/ or students who say they missed a class. In addition, I think hearing orally the words and the concepts can help just about any student, and it saves me the time in the long run of having to repeat myself over and over again. I think in the future I will try to incorporate digital jumpstarts more into my daily lessons.  I need to really think about how many of them I want to make because I want to cover everything, but also do not want to overwhelm my students with hundreds of videos. I also want to be mindful of keeping them relatively short because they are really only meant as a review and not a 30 plus minute lesson. Despite these challenges, I look forward to incorporating digital jumpstarts more into my lessons!
